Costume Quest/YMMV

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • Acceptable Professional Targets: Bojonn being a Middle Management Mook is an ongoing joke.
  • Family-Unfriendly Aesop: The main characters dig candy out of garbage cans, dumpsters, and bags of raked leaves. Other kids are playing hide and seek in a spillway or a broken down mall tram. All played for laughs.
  • Game-Breaker:
    • The robot costume is ridiculously overpowered considering it's the first costume in the game. Has high attack power, a Limit Break that hits all enemies and deals burn damage, and is really useful for navigating the map. Really, there's no reason to ever replace it with any of the other costumes you get.
    • The Vampire has decent attack power and a hit all Limit Break that also heals the entire team for a decent amount of damage. The only thing that keeps it from replacing the unicorn is the fact that it has no raise effect.
    • The T.P. ability line is an ability stamp that allows you to stun enemies for two turns, which is really good for crowd control against higher level enemies.
  • Good Bad Bugs: The humans who you can trick or treat to say various things before giving you candy. One is a male who accidentally says "My husband said no more kids would come, so here's all the candy." It's now a Memetic Mutation that Double Fine supports gay marriage.
  • Memetic Mutation: DAD TAX.
  • Toy Ship: Everett and Lucy in Grubbins on Ice.
