This attribute controls the content of the description and og:description elements. | Formerly titled Degrassi: The Next Generation, Degrassi is a Canadian Teen Drama about a group of kids in a Toronto high school and the problems they face. Started out in 1979 as the mini-series The Kids of Degrassi Street, it has gone through several incarnations since then. The current version started in 2001 and has some of the kid actors from the 1980s show as adults. Produced and aired in Canada by CTV (2001–09) and MuchMusic (2010-present); it airs in the US on the Nickelodeon-owned cable network Teen Nick (formerly The N). |
