These things about Disco Elysium are subjective - not everyone will agree with all of them.

  • Periphery Hatedom: The game's English voice cast features voice acting by members of ChapoTrapHouse, a very well know group of far-left radical podcasters whose supporters are known for making death threats towards their political opponents, Caucasians, and anybody who they deem to be rich (those death threats eventually got their subreddit be banned). As result, the game attracted hostility from right-wingers who believe the whole game is far-left political propaganda who defends violence towards them. It doesn't help the development team is known for their arrogance in interviews, come from an ex-Soviet republic, and publicly thanked Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels when receiving awards.
