Evan Amos (VanamoMedia) is an American photographer. He’s not a big name to the general public, but most people even casually interested in gaming history have seen his work - often without realizing it: Throughout The New Tens, Evan Amos meticulously collected, photographed and documented many of the gaming consoles released from the dawn of gaming to the then present day. Because much of his work is dedicated to the public domain, it’s common to see on The Other Wiki, YouTube documentaries in gaming history, publications on gaming and retrospectives, etc.
Although he is best known for gaming consoles, his photography is by no means limited to them.
Evan Amos provides examples of the following tropes:
- Author Appeal: One of the most prolific photographers of video game hardware.
- White Void Room: His photographs typically depict a white background, making them quite easy to turn into transparent PNGs if they aren’t already available.
Evan Amos has performed in the following roles:
- Himself in The Wikipedia Effect short video.
