Narrator: Family Fortunes ran for over 20 years with four different hosts: perma-tanned Bob Monkhouse, followed by bumbling Max Bygraves, cheeky scouser Les Dennis and erm ... him.

  • They Changed It Now It Sucks:
    • Two examples came from a change in host.
      • When Bob Monkhouse was replaced by Max Bygraves in 1983, the show lost some its popularity and was placed on hiatus in 1985.
      • When Les Dennis was replaced by the comparatively-unknown Andy Collins in 2002, the show moved to being a daily daytime version with a lower budget. Fortunes lasted only a few months before being axed.
    • Another change viewers thought sucked came in 1987, when a new colour LED board replaced the older-style display board; people complained about it, so the old-style board returned in the following series.
  • What an Idiot: Has its own page.
