Examples of Foe Yay in Newspaper Comics include:

  • The Argyle Sweater has a rather disturbing example: Aslan and the White Witch.
  • A recurring adversary, Captain Quigley, keeps coming back to Sherman's Lagoon trying to catch and kill Sherman's wife Megan, because she, being a shark, has torn off and devoured two of his limbs. One strip has her describe him as "...the pot-bellied, hairy-backed, peg-legged, psychopathic old sea captain who wants to kill me.... There's something sexy about this guy."
