Les Yay: Tons of it. It's a girl's boarding school movie - it's required.
Marty Stu: Paul Anka. He's a very nice guy, but is able to out-tough talk Silver. Of course, your definition of "nice" may vary with his treatment of Serafina.
Moral Event Horizon: Fred, when he decides to kidnap a 15 year old girl, take her to Mexico and rape her, and (it's implied) prostitute her.
Values Dissonance: Well tons, but most shocking to a modern audience is that Paul Anka and Mel Torme were once considered attractive.
- Mel Torme was attractive in this film?
  - He was supposed to be in an All Girls Want Bad Boys sort of way. Sure, it doesn't work at all or make any sense but his part is clearly written that way.
- Paul Anka telling his stalker that they'll always be best friends, and that he'll hang out with her someday - obviously lying. Talk about Kicking The Dog.
