God of Cookery/YMMV

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • Non Sequitur Scene: Many candidates, ranging from none to the whole film.
    • Stephen thinks one is happening when Sister Turkey bursts into song after the gang confrontation.
  • Crowning Moment of Funny: Stephen lands near the Shaolin Temple and attempts to flee when the monks catch him and gets his ass handed to them. The monks then drag him back into the temple, leaving a large trail of blood. He attempts this multiple times and repeats the process.
    • What's funnier is the Eighteen Brassmen of Shaolin beat Stephen into a pulp with unconventionally, ordinary weapons like folding chairs and tables instead of their legendary martial arts...
    • His master is later shown to be levitating in the Lotus Position...until the camera pans to reveal he's being escorted out by security.
  • Values Dissonance: While it's clear that Stephen is an exaggerated jerk in the beginning, his subordinates shamelessly grovel through a lot more outright abuse than any American employee ever would take without violence and/or a lawsuit. The Big Bad's worse.
