Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2/YMMV
These things about Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 are subjective - not everyone will agree with all of them.
- Author's Saving Throw: James Gunn gave Gamora an improved characterization in this film.
- Awesome Music: The entirety of the Awesome Mix Vol 2 cassette is filled with this, not to mention "Guardians Inferno" played by David Hasselhoff at the end.
- Complete Monster: Ego is one of the most brutal MCU villains. He was unsympathetic, to say the least.
- He gave the one woman he claimed to have loved a painful death, watched by their young son.
- He was fully prepared to convert that son into an unconscious "battery" if he didn't fully obey him.
- He killed a large number of his other children because they didn't have the power-manipulating trait he wanted to use. Also see "Disappeared Dad" on the main page.
- It's strongly implied that he led on and then abandoned an awful lot of women across the galaxy to get them to make those children.
- His grand plan was to start an Expansion of annihilation.
- The reason for the Expansion was basically because he was bored.
- Contested Sequel: Some loved the film more than Vol. 1 because of the stronger villain and emphasis on character development.
- One-Scene Wonder: Howard the Duck returns, but this time he appears in the actual film instead of just The Stinger.
- Signature Line: "I'm Mary Poppins, y'all!"
- Signature Song: "Guardians Inferno".
