  • Approval of God: In a 2010 interview with New York magazine, Downfall director Oliver Hirschbiegel found the parodies funny, and around the time of the interview saw 145 of them.
  • Executive Meddling: Downfall's distributor Constantin Films blocked the videos from YouTube at one point, though some of them are back up, as parody was ruled fair use. As stated above, the director actually enjoyed them.
  • Fan Community Nicknames: The people who make the parodies are known as Untergangers, which is derived from Der Untergang, the German title of Downfall
