• Fan Dumb: This little comment on her infamous intro to her Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann review:

Oh wow, Jesu Otaku is lovely. I always thought she was quite homely before this video, clearly I was mistaken.

• • Seriously? All men gazed, but still...
• Never Live It Down: Her old, offensive comments on Anime News Network forums about homosexuality resurfaced when some Revolutionary Girl Utena fans got angry about her review, and went to find out anything to use against her. She did apologize and say that she doesn't think the way she used to back then.
• Unfortunate Implications: Her tendency to use the word "gypped" has raised a few hackles, though it's most likely that she doesn't realize the pejorative meaning of it, as many people have no idea that it has racist implications. (It's short for "gypsy", referring to the racist stereotype that all Roma are cheaters and thieves.)
