Kōtetsu Sangokushi is an Anime loosely based on The Romance of the Three Kingdoms, originally running between April 5, 2007 -- September 27, 2007, and composed of 25 episodes. Directed by Saga Satoshi and featured on TV Tokyo, the series has also inspired a Manga currently under production with a single published chapter.

The story follows Rikuson Hakugen (Lu Xun), opening with his rescuing a family from raider but arriving too late to save the mother. Faced with the horror of war, Rikuson Hakugen is bothered. Soon he finds himself an observer between warring clans and the Anime details his adventures as he strives to survive the ongoing conflict.
