  • A teacher flat out says that Akko "has almost no value as a witch" pretty much TO HER FACE. For Akko, becoming a witch has been her biggest dream since childhood, so hearing that was pretty devastating... Good news is, there's a heartwarming/badass moment that follows right after that part which wipes this tearjerker away.
  • When Akko first meets Professor Ursula and receives her broom. She happily holds it up and yells out an old saying she heard Shiny Chariot say years ago "Believing in myself is my magic!" She then runs off. Professor Ursula slowly looks downward and utters the same phrase, except she adds a hollow sigh... Guess why.
  • Episode 22 "Things we Said Today" Akko finally gets her wish of meeting Chariot... After finding out Professor Croix is using her magic and technology to stir up negative emotions in people which she's converting into energy... Croix seems intent on getting rid of Akko as well, but Chariot shows up and protects her. The revelation comes as quite a shock, especially when Croix divulges that Chariot had actually once fed off the dreams of people in the audience of her old shows and converted THAT into energy at one point. This in turn meant that she had supposedly robbed Akko of her natural magic abilities.
