  • Hey, It's That Guy!:
    • Auntie Em is a rather surprising choice as one of the antagonists from the first Lum and Abner movie, Dreaming Out Loud.
    • Zazu Pitts plays Lum's love interest in their second movie, The Bashful Bachellor.
  • Hey, It's That Voice!: Ellie Connors (aka Mary Edwards), Sgt. Hartford, and Nurse Lunsford were all voiced by Lurene Tuttle, the actress who played Marjorie in the Fibber McGee and Molly Spin-Off, The Great Gildersleeve.
  • What Could Have Been: After the show finally ended in 1954, Lauck and Goff tried to start a Lum and Abner TV series, but only got as far as a 3-part pilot episode. This episode was re-edited into the final Lum and Abner movie, Lum and Abner Abroad.
