- The scene where May tries (and fails) to attract Adam's attention in the café by trying to walk and pose sexily is hilariously awkward and cute.
- Crowning Moment of Heartwarming: The ending... in a twisted, disturbing kind of way.
- Hell Is That Noise: The sounds of Susie's glass case cracking that May keeps hearing.
- High Octane Nightmare Fuel: Again, the ending. What happens is completely unexpected and utterly shudder-inducing.
- Moral Event Horizon: May crosses this when she kills Lupe, although it's not certain if she actually intended to kill her or if it was an accident.
- Tear Jerker: "See me!"
- Uncanny Valley: Susie.
- The Woobie: Poor May... later she turns into more of a Woobie, Destroyer of Worlds.
