- Defictionalization: In honor of 9's release, the famous E-Tank was turned into a real life energy drink.
- Development Gag: Several. For instance, Commando Man was Search Man's original name.
- The Robot Masters of Mega Man 9 and Mega Man 10 are primarily based on old fan submissions. Hornet Man, Tornado Man, Pump Man, Solar Man and Blade Man are just the ones we know about.
