Notable examples are: sometimes when Chloe cosplays as Ladybug, she wears a wig akin to Marinette's hair and the whole episode of 'Frightingale' where it's a plot point that Adrien and Marinette are scared to wear the masks to the Chat Noir and Ladybug costumes for Clara's music video because then people will realize how similar to them they look and possibly figure out the truth.

* [[Base Breaker]]: To her fans, Marinette is seen as a sweet angelic being who deserves the world. To her detractors, she is [[Stalker with a Crush|stalkerish]] [[Designated Hero|designated hero]] who is creepy towards her crush and mean towards anyone she sees as an obstacle to her getting with Adrien. Her stepping away from her fangirl tendencies and befriending Kagami has [[Rescued from the Scrappy Heap|gotten her some fans]], however some still don't like her either because they can't let go of her past actions or that she still shows Designated Hero tendencies occasionally.
