Philadelphia punk at its finest. Mischief Brew is fronted by Erik Petersen and incorporates elements of swing, gypsy punk, American protest folk, and the DIY ethic. Extremely political, extremely brash, and extremely prolific, Mischief Brew has become a well-known name in underground anarcho-punk circles for simultaneously embracing and deconstructing the punk genre.

While Coffee, God, and Cigarettes gently mocks religious teetotalers, Lowly Carpenter is a pro-workers song featuring a, well, lowly carpenter saying he had great potential but now is JUST a carpenter and therefore powerless.
