Summer hates men to the nth degree and Hatsuki hates her parents for misnaming her and being completely understanding about her being a porn star. These women are HAVING CHILDREN.
- Hatsuki at least acknowledges that she's not ideal parent material. As seen in the quote above, Summer was seriously basing her decision on whether to put her baby up for adoption on the child's gender, and apparently sees nothing wrong with that. How's she going to react if poor Moon ends up straight? Or transgender, even?
- Also, Summer is forty years old. Reread the comic and let that one sink in a little bit.
- She's also already looking at preschools for the gifted to put Moon in. What if Moon is only of average intelligence? Or has a learning disability? Or no inclination to apply herself?
- And what if Hatsuki had hada a boy?

If Hatsuki really just reviles her birth name that much, why didn't she just change it when she turned 18? Or why didn't she legally emancipate herself from her family when she had the chance? Come to think of it, why didn't Summer do the the same?
