Examples of Pietà Plagiarism in Theatre include:
- The script of the play for Little Shop of Horrors mentions Pietà a few times when discussing how to act Audrey's death and subsequent feeding to the plant.
- Shakespeare example: King Lear carrying Cordelia's body at the end of the play. Well, near the end.
- The very last pose in Elisabeth, as shown here.
- Miss Saigon, after Kim shoots her cousin Thuy (she was protecting her son from him), then at the end, after she shoots herself.
