Poltergeist (1982 film)/Awesome

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • Steven has some awesome moments in the first two films:
    • In the first film, when he thinks Carol Anne fell into the incomplete swimming pool, he dives in there. When he finds out the house was built over a shoddily moved cemetery, he flips out on his boss for pretty much condemning his family to the events of the first movie. But he drops his rant against him so he could rescue Diane, Carol Ann and Robbie from The Beast. When all is said and over and they are safe at the Holiday Inn, he throws the TV out just in case. A notion he stuck to in the second movie.
    • In the second movie, after saving Robbie from his Braces attacking him. He promptly tells off Taylor for not helping. However Taylor sets him straight, letting him know that he was only protecting Carol Ann as that's the person Kane is after. When Steven realizes this after a brief shock, he turns his rage against the ghosts haunting them. Demanding they leave them alone, he gets thrown across the living room, but still an awesome moment. Later on after Kane tries to possess him through the Tequila worm. He not only rejects the monster with the help of Diane, but he decides now to confront Kane once and for all. When Carol Ann and Diane get taken to the other side, he and Robbie follow in after them. With Taylor's help Steven was able to stab Kane with a spear once he got a hold of Carol Ann.
