- Moment of Awesome: The contestant who picked "Public Television" and got it right by correctly identifying Coulomb's Law.
- Followed up by a Funny Moment where the exact same contestant claims Brian Murray is the lead singer of Queen.
- Nightmare Fuel: Off The Air.
- Played with when they changed the wall of TVs in the MTV Bonus Round from a cluttered pile of TV sets and Board Games to this monstrous green rock-looking creature with broken TV sets and antennas sticking out of it, and a giant glowing red eye. It was normally referred to by Ken as "this THING looming behind me", at which point it would make some creepy noise, such as mooing like a cow or uttering nonsense in a demonic voice.
- Seasonal Rot / They Changed It Now It Sucks: The final season (1991), with several major rule changes (likely because the show was now on syndication and could no longer show music videos) and a very peevish Ober.
