  • Crowning Moment of Awesome: Josh is no warrior, but he has his moments. In spades.
  • Uncanny Valley: While the animation in the game is gorgeous and well done, there are times that the play may well shiver looking at the unreal realism.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: One of the survivors of the train derail, Lin, dissapears after the zombies begin to rise and is never seen again. The ending hints that she is dead, we just don't know how.
  • The Woobie: Monica, dear God, Monica. She falls in love with a guy who just wants to use her to smuggle contraband into the country, is the only one of her friends who doesn't mock Josh, is beheaded in a horrigying manner by Ernst, then is brought back to life and sewn into a puppet, forced to battle him. Her comments to him during their battle vary between apologies ("I'm sorry! Something is controlling me! I'm not a monster! Please don't hate me!") and mockery ("Why won't you let me kill you?!? I want to share my beautiful pain!") At a certain point, you want to kill her just to put her out of her misery.
