Les Yay: Ushio's canon feelings for Haine. Ryokka also admits that she once had a secret crush on another girl as a teenager, though what she doesn't tell Haine is that the girl in question was Maika.
One True Threesome: Canonically! Haine initially says she wants to marry both Takanari and Shizumasa, the latter of whom seems perfectly fine with this.
- Of course, she does actually chose Takanari. Then she changes her mind.
Portmanteau Series Nickname: ShinKuro, as given in the manga's freetalk columns.
Unfortunate Implications: Quite a few regarding the non-straight characters. The way Ushio's feelings for Haine are handled stands out, though a good part of that could be chalked up to Values Dissonance. On the other hand, Maora and Maguri do end up together.
- The fact that Ushio was paired up with Senri (a pedophile) in the end (in a relationship heavily implied to have no love in it) really, really didn't help matters.
