Sister Princess: RePure is a reimagining of Sister Princess. The biggest change from the original series is that the siblings have known each other for years and do not live together. They also live in a town that has existed for long enough that there is some urban blight present.

RePure is less plot-oriented and more vignette-based than the original series; it is essentially a collection of side-stories focusing primarily on one sister at a time, and the first twelve episodes are split into two stories each with each episode giving one of the sisters the spotlight in the second story - the only full-length episode is the thirteenth (and final) one. While dramatic tension isn't completely missing, the series is even more low-key than its predecessor.

Gadgeteer Genius: In the original Sister Princess, Rin-rin (the inventor and ambitious genius) can produce high-tech items overnight for literal pocket change. In RePure, she can build small mecha out of leftover junk parts.
Incest Subtext: Like Sister Princess, there is an incestuous subtext in RePure, but the subtext surfaces clearly here. In the very first episode, Karen recounts how she decided that she would be her brother's bride despite society's disapproval of such a thing, and a later story has Chikage declare that her brother was the only man for her. It isn't until episode 12 of RePure that any of the girls says any differently, when Sayaka admits to herself tearfully she cannot be her brother's bride.
