Son of the Mask/YMMV
- Ensemble Darkhorse: Loki and Dr. Alfred Neuman.
- Just Here for Godzilla: Pretty much anybody wants to see the film because of Loki alone.
- One-Scene Wonder: Tim Avery's Car by the end. It's so awesome even the Nostalgia Critic loved the car.
- Sequelitis: Considered one of the worst sequels of the 2000s.
- Special Effects Failure: Most, if not all, of Alvey's effects.
- They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: The car should have gotten more screentime.
- They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: A boy with Mask powers, a dog that wears the Mask, and the maker of the Mask; all RealityWarpers and all mischievous. This had the making of a wild Crazy Awesome comedy; one scene even had the first and third play Super Twister ending with Loki planning to be a Big Brother Mentor, but only at the end. The potential here is just not exploited.
- Took the Bad Film Seriously: Everyone.
- Uncanny Valley:
- Alvey, Alvey, Alvey. That kid will give ya nightmares.
- You can always tell when he's about to use his powers, because he'll morph from a regular baby into some CGI abomination right before using any special effects.
- Tim Avery as the Mask has fake looking skin and plastic hair.
- Unfortunate Implications: Gee, if I didn't know better I could swear that the movie is trying to tell me it's funny when daddy is hurting mommy.
