* ''Comments'': Seriously, read that synopsis and try to tell me that this concept doesn't just ''reek'' of awesomeness. And truly, it is awesome! It delves into why Cartman hates Kyle so damn much, keeps their [[Foe Yay]] (hell, it even takes it [[Up to Eleven]] on Cartman's part), and gives us an adventure that could easily be an actual episode in it's own right. There's, however, only three chapters of what should be a full story, and it will likely never be finished. Nevertheless, these three chapters are sure to please.

Tikal Tyrant does a very good job at portraying this nature of abuse, both the state of mind of the victim and the mind-games that the abuser plays, and also effectively captures how a [[Secret Keeper]] for such a thing feels. Also, if you, like this troper, hate the way Butters is treated by his parents in canon, you'll love the kindness and unconditional love his Aunt Nellie shows him.

* ''Comments'': Much [[Better Than It Sounds]]. All of the characters behave exactly as one would expect them to when aged up to their late teens. The main story is cute and well written, but in a clichéd slash fic way. The two side stories are the real gold, both of them working gradually to their inevitable conclusion and in a fashion that leaves you wanting to see what comes next. So basically, it's a romantic South Park fic that actually works.

** skrt: Brilliant not in that it invents new tropes for the South Park high school slash fanon, but plays all of the typical plot details and characterizations very well, almost as if amassing them into one super-fic. Does not attempt to subvert any clichés.

** The single best South Park fanfic this troper has ever read. It adds all the weird things that happen in South Park, without sounding like the author is trying to hard. The characters mature perfectly and maybe Kenny/Butters doesn't sound like much, but it ends up being perfect. I have never seen a characterization of Kenny that I have liked so much, in the end, him being with Butters only makes sense. Very enjoyable, even if slash squicks you.

* ''Comments'':The best thing about this story is that it pulls you in and refuses to let go. This is the best Creek story ever because it is so deep and intricate. The boys are completely in character and the events in the story will keep you on the edge of your seat. This story should be read by anyone who loves the pairing of Craig/Tweek and anyone who loves Romance/Horror stories. The writer does a perfect job of balancing out the romance and the horror to weave a complex story that is absolutley perfect and well-written. It's on the edge, but nowhere close to falling off. * ''Comments'': Foodstamp specializes in writing mysteries—a rarity in a fandom that is afraid of anything outside of the standard high school coming-out story. Yet she manages to do this with a remarkable amount of feeling and a writing style that will encourage repeated readings for the sheer pleasure of her prose. The disturbing initial crime gives way to layers of complexity that are fitted together seamlessly. Immense care has been taken with the details; the characters are complex to the point that the villains are sympathetic and the victims aren't innocent. The reader finds himself just as lost in the treachery of the plot as the characters; the romance adds a necessary weight to the story, rather than being gratuitous slash. The authoress' use of Kenny as narrator subverts almost every trope his character is subjected to in the TV show, and in the fandom.

* ''Comments'': Another story written by the incredibly talented Seaouryou. This fanfic is the gold standard for Cartman/Wendy, and the Stan/Kyle subplot is adorable, though much less fresh. Perhaps the nicest thing about this particular story is that it's not simply a bland platform to project a pairing on; the plot is intricate and features twists that you will never see coming. Add all that to witty, fast-paced writing, and you have yourself one of the best South Park fanfics on the internet.

* ''Comments:'' One of the darkest (if not, the darkest) [[Portmanteau Couple Name|Creek]] story ever written, with violence, sex, rape, insanity to a T, death, murder. An amazing piece. The plot, the characters, the way Craig's dark side is described and how Tweek descends into insanity more and more... it's brilliant and quite accurate, with unique, horriying, complex and interesting writing.

* ''Comments:'' An interesting take on the premise of what would happen if Stan and Kyle ceased to be friends after the events of You're getting old. The idea is a breath of fresh air in the otherwise stale and predictable South Park slash stories that are found nowadays. The author deconstructs all the cliches of the Stan/Kyle pairing stories and with excellent attention to detail. Excellent writing and characterization. It makes this troper remember the great fanfics of 2008.

* [[Experiment 282]]: This troper was cracking up towards the end, and agrees that it is like [[Incredibly Lame Pun|coming out]] of an episode.

* ''Comments:'' Absolutely hilarious. Not only does it subvert the normal South Park fanfiction clichés, like aging the characters to their early forties rather than making them high-schoolers, but is just spectacularly fun to read. Stan and Kyle, together for over 25 years within the story, are less sickeningly sweet and more like a jaded, old married odd couple, who run (but don’t own) their own little antique shop. The dialogue is witty and charming, the story is original and amusing much of the time, and all the characters are completely in character. If you have the time, check this story out, if not just for the wonderful portrayal of Stan and Kyle and their lives post high-school fanfics.

* ''Comments:'' This troper truly enjoyed this little oneshot, and the author in general. The prose is lovely and descriptive, the characters are portrayed fantastically, and cartman is likable and almost genuinely sweet without being OOC. And this troper was cracking up at the ending. it's not too long, either, but entirely satisfying. A recommended read, for any fans who enjoy the sweeter side of Cartman and Kyle's relationship, but still want the bickering aspect included.

* ''Comments'': The ''[[South Park]]'' Slash fandom tends to shy away from anything that doesn’t involve the typical high school romantic escapade, which is a great disappointment for those looking for something different in their fanfiction. Out of the known pairings in the ''[[South Park]]'' Slash fandom, Damien/Pip is perhaps the strangest, due to the fact that in the one episode Damien is in, he ''sets Pip on fire'' to impress the other kids. However, Society’s Cavity takes the already existing canon with these two characters and supplies the readers with character depth, witty dialogue, humor, sexual tension, {{spoiler|a heartwrenching [[Rape as Drama]]}} and a believable relationship (well, as believable as the [[The Antichrist]] can go). Perhaps the best part of this fanfiction is how the author analyzes the whole “Anti-Christ” part of Damien, which is rarely if ever done. A wonderful read, and recommended to anyone who is tired of the cliché [[High School AU]] ''[[South Park]]'' fanfiction.

* ''Comments'': Basically, it's a series of one-shots centered around Cartman and Wendy's married life. Is it [[Better Than It Sounds]]? Yes. Do Cartman and Wendy have a believable relationship without seriously butchering their characters? Yes, and it is [[Hilarity Ensues|hilarious]].

* ''Comments'': Okay, this is way [[Better Than It Sounds]]. I was skeptical first finding this fic, as I wasn't a [[Foe Yay|Kyman]] fan at all, but as a reader, you really get into how DanniDinmont portrays the characters. Kyle is the narrator, and you can really get lost in his thoughts and believe his storytelling. Yes, this story contains craptons of filthy, filthy smut, and is pretty long (over 180,000 words), but the writing is outstanding and the author really takes us deep into the boys' interesting relationship. The [[Foe Yay]] works wonderfully while still keeping the characters believable, and it's really fun seeing their relationship progress and eventual twists in the plot keep you interested. You can also see characters and the relationships between them mature over time. This is likely my favorite fanfic of all time, in any fandom, certainly worth reading if you don't mind explicit sex scenes... even if you don't like this pairing (it sure changed ''my'' opinion on them!).

* ''Synopsis'': "I'm going to kill myself." Stan went to the roof of his apartment building, one determined thought in his mind, and then the redheaded stranger ruined everything. Or maybe he was Stan's savoir. "That's tragic, we've only just met."

* ''Comments'': Set to Death Cab for Cutie's ''"Lack of Color"'', this is perhaps one of the most moving and original Style pieces on fanfiction.net. This is the author's perception of what would happen if Kyle had never lived in South Park, and Stan had become a victim of "the Emptiness" which clouds his mind and sense of being and purpose. Tearjerker-ness ensues (this troper cried her guts out, especially since "Lack of Color" is one of her favorite songs). While only one chapter long, the emotion of this story comes across just ''beautifully'', and the fact that only Stan and Kyle are really focused on, and their relationship, despite only knowing one another for a few days, gives such a lasting impression. This is so fantastically written that I could honestly gush with praise for hours on end. Mr. eames has stated that this was re-written multiple times, and that shows. Characterization is nothing short of wonderful, the writing itself is graceful and poetic, and the concept of suicide is presented, striped to its rawest of forms, and shown from both a positive and negative light as both Stan and Kyle face their problems and end up saving one another from lives cut devastatingly short. However, I would advise not reading this while ''"Lack of Color"'' plays in the background. [[Tear Jerker|You will cry]].

* ''Comments'': It's obvious from reading the rest of these recomendations that mr. eames is a favorite. This fic is absolutely no exception. ''The New Year'' is fantastic. If you're a fan of psychological drama, this is a must-read. This troper's favorite is just how much research was put into this fic, as well as how fitting the disorders match with the characters (Tweek's OCD and manic, Kenny's delusional and thinks he can't die, Kyle's scary amounts of Bipolar mixed with stubborn, etc.). The way she portrays these characters is praise-worthy, and the plot is interesting and attention grabbing. Now, I must add that only eleven chapters have been written, and the last update was in ''2009''. Don't expect that cliffhanger to be concluded anytime soon. Eames stated sometime late in the fic that she had grown tired of the story, and that begins to show, as the writing begins to sound tired. However, that doesn't matter. The first ten chapters are fantasic, and praise is deserved for its excellence.

** This troper agrees that this fic is amazing. I read it sometime last year, and though disappointed that it was never finished, "The New Year" is a unique and well-written fic, one of my South Park favorites. Reccommended for anyone interested by the psychological-drama AU idea... Or anyone else who loves some good, unique, not-a-high-school-AU fics.

* ''Comments:'' Really interesting story that represents how downright hate can become the opositte feeling. A dark aspect on Craig and Tweek's connection. It's not cheesy and the evolution of their relationship is portrayed realistically. Recommended.

* ''Comments'': Lumping stories together that are not a part of the same story/timeline may be a peculiar thing to do, but I did it purposely here. These are the two stories written by mr. eames that are based around Christophe/Ze Mole and Kyle as a pairing (excluding the previous case of ''The New Year''), and while they're completely separate stories, they just seem to fit together as if they ''should'' be a single entity. Both are from Christophe's point of view as he details points in his life with Kyle as a secondary yet incredibly important character and how both shape him into who he is now. ''Constellations'' is the longer of the two, which gives the reader an insight into both boys’ psyche as their relationship, subtle and genuine, evolves to an almost hazardous point. ''Waiting Room'' is all entirely Christophe-centered, Kyle only appearing in flashbacks {{spoiler|since it does take place after his death}} as Christophe looks back on how they met and how they both perceive the concept of death. My praise is unnecessary, as I cannot gush enough about my love for this bizarre but fantastic pairing and how well represented they are here. Please, give mr. eames all the credit she deserves and read her wonderful stories.

So...it's-it's a M-rated detailed sex fic...but it's a good and well-written one about their friendship and Wendy helping Butters. Another nice Wendy and Butters interaction fic.
