* [[The Von Trope Family]]: Tanya apparently became part of the nobility because she did well in school.

* [[Colonel Kilgore]]: While the opening song might suggest this is the case, that isn't entirely true. Tanya considers war inherently wasteful and doesn't exactly enjoy the peril involved in being on the front lines nor is she crazy about some non-combat experiences on the front lines like the food. In the manga version of the battle that got her her Silver Wings Assault Badge she buffed herself using magic after which she claimed that she's never been happier. Adrenaline may have played a role in that.

* [[Smug Snake]]: Don't get us wrong, Tanya is '''not''' a moron. However, one of the fun things (for the audience) about this series is how Tanya's attempts to read her superiors are [[Entertainingly Wrong|horribly wrong]] and how her attempts to manipulate them often backfire. And what makes things even more entertaining is how smug Tanya often seems to be in the moment.

* [[Sobriquet]]: Tanya's enemies know her as The Devil of the Rhine (the Rhine being where she made a name for herself). Her nation has their own nickname for her, White Silver, presumably because she was awarded the Silver Winged Assault Badge and lived. Said badge is prestigious and awarded almost exclusively posthumously.
