It didn't help any that {{spoiler|Jigsaw's other protégé, Hoffman, was already far down the slope, tugging on her leg at the time.}}

When he refuses an offer to join them, they try to murder Harry, thus proving they didn't have a complex or unorthodox sense of justice after all, they just like killing.
