* In ''[[Vigor Mortis]]'' Possibly subverted with Lyn who robs people to feed herself and give housing to herself and kids. At this point Lyn is a known wanted criminal and is incapable of acquiring a legitimate job. Lyn got a thrill out of stealing and outrunning pursuers and her robbery victims and the fact she feeds kids is so she won't feel bad about being a thief. Well that's how it started, she grew attached to the kids she feeds. Vita used to steal food and also is a natural [[Necromancer]], and even used necromancy to kill someone (admittedly it was in self defense). Still, Vita's reputation was clean (i.e. obscure) enough to get acquire a legitimate job once she was strong enough to apply for it.
