*[[Big Bad]]: He leads the faction responsible for the destruction of the Cyberse World, and intends to not only create a new Cyberse World beyond human reach, but also rule over humanity from within.

*[[Beware the Nice Ones]]:Zigzagged. Lighting is in no way nice, but he is generally calm, a [[Faux Affably Evil]]villain with Ai describing him as the calm, controlled, and collected leader of the Ignis, however, when angered, he's [[OOC Is Serious Business|absolutely terrifying with Ai noting he'd never seen him act in such a way]] and will distribute ''brutal'' retribution to those who anger him. [[The Dragon| Spectre]] was his primary example.

*[[Crazy Prepared]]: Before Aqua could team up with her Origin, Miyu, Lightning placed a virus on her that Aqua can't dispel just in case Aqua managed to escape, and so that it will be harder for her to interfere with his plans.

*[[The Dog Was the Mastermind]]:Aside from having the opposing Attribute to Ai, there was very little to suggest that Lightning was, in fact, the overall main villain of the series.
