Eldritch Abomination/Western Animation: Difference between revisions

some copyedit
(Fleshed out Regular show section, though I'm sure more can be added)
(some copyedit)
Line 45:
* The Darkness from the Fairly Oddparents "Wishology" special, until .
* In the Dungeons and Dragons episode "The Dungeon at the Heart of Dawn", we meet Venger's boss, and Dungeon Master warns that before he attacks, he will reveal his face, and that the children should not look upon it.
* The Monster of the Week in Regular Show tends to be one form of abomination or another, - sometimes it's a reflection of whatever mundane task Mordecai and Rigby were attempting, but equally often it's just totally bizzarebizarre.
** The very first episode sees them fighting a strange creature made up of their own body parts, and that of an action figure on the moon, and the creatures only get more horrifying from there.
*** A Laterlater episode shows their first day on the job, where they tie in a game of rock-paper-scissors a hundred times in a row, which summons a tentacle "tie" demon whothat attempts to suck the park and its inhabitants into the void.
** In season two, Mordecai meets Father Time, a being from beyond time and space, whose body is made up of hundreds of clocks.
* Ben 10: Ultimate Alien:
** Lucubra, the main antagonist of "The Creature From Beyond" . This extradimensional horror boasts Super Strength, Nigh Invulnerability, Frickin' Laser Beams, and the power to devour a person's thoughts with Mind Control as a bonus... and that might just be the tip of the iceberg.
** All supernatural characters on the show are either connected to aliens (i.e., the OmnitixOmnitrix and Ultimatrix), magical phenomena (Like Hex and Charmcaster) or both (Gwen in the main timeline). This creature appears to be none of the above.
** Vilgax's One-Winged Angel form actually gets mistaken for Dagon by a cult. While they believe Dagon to be an alien, their cult-like mentality and beliefs are more like worship, and how they treat him definitely has the feel of a Lovecraft-style cult.
** The real Dagon. It's held behind the same seal as Lucubra, but is much worse (Gwen says compared to Dagon, Lucubra is an insect!). In the next episode, they're actually shown the Diagon, and while the audience doesn't see it (though commercials very clearly show him), Gwen and Kevin react to seeing him as if they were in pain.
* Adventure Time:
** Marceline's Daddad, an unkillable monstrosity from the Nightosphere whose first order of business was to suck up the souls of everyone in Ooo. How Marceline ever managed to become a Chaotic Neutral Cute Monster Girl with that as a parent is a riddle for the ages.
** The Lich has elements of this, being Walking Wasteland and Evil Is Deathly Cold personified; he's an immensely powerful spellcaster and Body Surfer who desires only an end to all life, and is apparently unkillable as well.
** The Lub Glubs, essentially shoggoths from the Cthulhu Mythos who wear jolly inflatable pool toys as skins. When attacking, they shed the pool toys and reveal their true forms: inky black blobs covered with toothy mouths.
