** Which is turned into a [[Leitmotif]] with the addition of [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WB-ik-Bpl0c&feature=fvsr "Ghost City"] (which plays during the montage halfway through the film) and [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wtkTFnrMI9U&feature=related "Reincarnation"] (during the ending credits).

** [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-fkj7IeL0U "STRENGTH"], the last ending for the first run of ''[[Soul Eater]]''

 

* Most of the music for the ''[[AIR]]'' game was considered good enough to be used directly the anime release as well - and with very good reason. Especially noteworthy is the track [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=un_-kExsuRk "Aozora"] (blue sky) sung by Lia, whose mournful vocals set the perfect mood for the already very sad ending. The instrumental version is used all through the series to maximum effect as well.

** The anime and game opening [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NtJnix-9niI "Tori no Uta"] '''definitely''' deserves a mention.

* ''Dennou Boukenki Webdiver'' is a lesser-known sci-fi series from 2001. Nonetheless, both the opening [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ggM7M-1ex4 "Diver 2100"] and the ending [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZXy_pi98kaM "Together"] deserve a special mention.

* ''[[Detective Conan]]'' has had a lot of theme songs, many of them very good, or even great. For example, the [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Two_MDu4hGU very first] one (the English translation).

* [[Ef a Tale of Memories|ef- a tale of memories]] has the ending theme for episode 2, Euphoric Field, which turns out to be the opening for the rest of the series {{spoiler|and also what comes out when you take the first letter of each episode's title}}. The song itself is mostly correct, if mispronounced, [[Engrish]], and was performed by Tenmon, of [[5 Centimeters Per Second]] fame. Tenmon also composed the rest of the series' incredibly touching soundtrack. The most awesome part is the opening to episode 12, which was exactly the same as the other openings, except {{spoiler|the song was in Japanese and the visual symbolism was completely changed. When you think about how this must have affected the primary audience, who now understand the lyrics, it becomes doubly awesome.}} Tenmon makes a return in the sequel, [[Ef a Tale of Melodies|Ef- A Tale of Melodies]], with the opening Ebullient Future (yes, ebullient is a real word).

* ''[[Elfen Lied]]'''s opening theme [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RaV6eDvgiG4 "Lilium"] is one of the most hauntingly beautiful themes you will ever hear.

** [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2XFe5WBOAA Combat Zone.] Particularly worth mentioning for the [[Big Damn Heroes]] moment it accompanies in the penultimate episode.

** And for [[The Movie]], there's [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mc6p7Aw1OiE Space Rock], a fitting track for the incredibly trippy end credits.

* ''[[Fafner in the Azure|Fafner in the Azure: Dead Aggressor]]'''s OP, [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=URM43rW3I3A "Shangri-La"]

** The soundtrack. They actually credit the orchestra that recorded it (the Warsaw Philharmonic). It has a certain rich sound to it, and is an enjoyable listen on its own. Try [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Avs4iOpcgc Blue Sky of Sorrow], the french horn duet at the beginning is just beatiful, and sets the mood for the piece. There are many other awesome pieces in the score including [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ukuJbR5zf-k Opening of Nightmare's Gate], [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPdFWKHLPAo Fafner in the Azure], [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0IDREXKWX_0 Battle (m9)], [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7vXPFsL6nLI False Paradise] (which is simply beautiful), [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPJkxmUqZN0 A Girl's Wish] (an interesting theme and variations), and [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QjjFwv3B_TM Epilougue:Prologue] (which opens the show).

 

 

* ''[[Kaiji]]''s OST is one of those very simple ones that still manage to be incredibly awesome. No singing, just great instrumentals. [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebrnljYK8e8 Kaiji Theme], [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g9a0TLSpQWY Predicament], [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RS17YZPsa0o Line Of Light] and [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q7724BEyxB0 Beginning] are the pinnacles.

** "[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=meBzDGG7WeU Wish]". Holy shit, when that guitar starts...!

 

 

* Even if the synth brings the piece down a bit, [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G2ayuaBmVnc Kizuna & Sadame] is still the best single to come out of all the ''[[Saint Beast]]'' OP/ED tracks, and the way the seiyuus voices blend together is downright hypnotic.

* ''[[Saki (manga)|Saki]]'''s [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wO6K2GNrSEQ first ending theme] is a masterful blend of cute and awesome.

* ''[[Witch Hunter Robin]]'': Taku Iwasaki again pulling out more awesome, with both the [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fS1-7CV_t1s vocal] and [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lmMkUR1DKuc guitar] versions of "Shell". Also, [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mPO4B720t4c Kyrie] and [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_TNyF4XH_AE Flame], both extremely badass.

 

* [[X 1999]] (the anime version) has some wonderful music. Try listening to [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KHNPSEmPXxQ Sadame/Destiny] without getting a lump in your throat. Managed it? Take a look at the manga/anime series/movie, then listen again.

** The earlier anime movie, while sucky, still managed some awesome in the arguably emo X-Japan song [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=33HU4Fs2f60 Forever Love].
