First of all, Gardevoir was among the beststrongest and most versitile Psychic to come along since Alakazam (as many of the other Tropes here show), and Ralts could be caught right at the beginning of Ruby/Sapphire. It's was the original [[Cute Monster Girl]] Pokemon, referred to as "the Embrace Pokemon", it's PokeDex entry emphasizing how close it becomes to its trainer... Yeah, easy to see [[Rule 34| where this went]] via [[Memetic Mutation]], and the fact that it was ''not'' an exclusively female Mon only caused the memes to mutate further. GameFreak did little to stem its Breakout Character status, making it Fairy-Type ''and'' giving it one of the best Mega Evolutions in Gen VI.
