Awesome Music: The entire soundtrack, from the opening credits to the end credits.
Ensemble Darkhorse: Frank and Poot. They had a handful of scenes and every single one of them was pure hilarity.
Heartwarming Moments: Burt's speech to Haley before her floor routine at Nationals. "Now don't you dare hold back, and floor it."
- Not to mention the Judge's final words to Haley: "You know, there are a lot of great people who had jerks for parents. We gotta stick together." (wink)
Narm: Big-time during Burt's pep talk to Haley before her floor performance. His over-the-top dramatic gasping makes him sound like he's about to have a heart attack.
Memetic Mutation: The clip most commonly repeated after people saw the trailer for this movie? "Call me." "Stalk you."
Moment of Awesome: Wei Wei's beam routine.
- Mina's vault and the following "routines" would qualify as well.
- Haley's floor routine.
- Nastia Liukin's bars routine, in which it is readily apparent just why she'd go on to become the Olympic All-Around champion two years later in Beijing.
Retroactive Recognition: Nastia Liukin - the girl in the red leotard who won on bars - would go on, two years later, to win gold in the Olympic All-Around.
So Cool Its Awesome: All of the gymnastic routines. The director went out and found some extremely talented people to do the stunts and it definitely shows.
Tear Jerker: The scene where we finally discover just what made Haley walk out of Worlds'. Her coach had hooked up with her mother and caused the divorce. Haley found out right before she had to go out onto the floor and couldn't handle it. Honestly, who can blame her?
