• Canon Dis Continuity: The Capcom-developed arcade version of Strider 2 is a direct follow-up to the arcade game, and completely ignores the U.S. Gold-produced sequel, Strider II/Strider Returns, that was released for home computers during the early 90's.
• Short Run In America!: The NES version (as there was no Famicom release).
• What Could Have Been: Strider Hiryu's return for the canceled Capcom Fighting All-Stars. In 3D.
  • Notably, his skillset would have been toned down considerably from Marvel vs. Capcom, with his Cypher only being utilized in specials and supers.
