  • Non Sequitur Scene: Anytime Stu and his guest receives a strange phone call. They try to respond to it as best they can before quickly moving on, almost pretending the unusual call never happened.
  • Harsher in Hindsight: In one of Janet Waldo's appearances from 2008, writer Earl Kress was co-hosting from his bedroom as he was ill that day. At the end, Stu slipped up and said, "Earl, thanks for hosting from your death bed, err I mean your sick bed! I'm sorry!" Funny then, but is pretty cringeworthy now as Earl Kress passed away of cancer in September 2011.
  • Memetic Mutation: Ever wonder where the yelling of "BLUUUUU-RAAAAAAYYY!!!" came from? This show.
  • Tear Jerker: Stu's tribute to Earl Kress the day after he died.
