I'll be the first to admit that the TV Tropes rename "Lame Pun Reaction" is terrible. But the original name of this trope is problematic in its own right, as it is not really indicative of the actual trope. The pun itself doesn't have to be lame; other people just have to think it is.
The title is somewhat alliterative and has better cadence than "Lame Pun Reaction". In fact, it's better than the other rename, because it clarifies that the pun is not, in fact, a lame one.
