Both have had serious accusations of being such. Should these be mentioned under real life?

Not HIV - that rumour's been debunked. Coronovirus... it's still too early to tell.

We could mention the HIV rumour on Conspiracy Theories, though.

I know the HIV part is tinfoil hat tier. Was asking if the accusations were worth mentioning.

The way I read the trope description, I'd say no - the trope is about the plagues, not the stories around them.
