- Crowning Music of Awesome: The violin solo, especially during the 'making contact' scene in the hospital.
- Fridge Brilliance: Suppose that Sayuri had never told Takuya about her dream of a white airplane while they were at the train station. This dream was actually a vision of the future, where Hiroki flew the plane to save her from the tower's projections into her brain. Then he wouldn't have brought her to see the Velaciela and then the three of them would never have made a promise in the first place.
- Fridge Horror: The film ends in an apparently happy note. But... At a minimum, most of Hokkaido just got wiped out because the two leads were wasting time having a touching moment instead of launching the missile, including possibly Okabe's family. Even if they get back, it's going to be interesting landing a plane with apparently no landing gear. And let's not forget, World War Three just got declared...
