If the gameplay and story have been significantly changed and it's own game, there's no harm in making a page for it.

Plan for both, I imagine it's a new game though.

I agree, it's likely to be a separate new game simply by virtue of the name. Final Fantasy II and Fallout 2 were not "version 2.0" of their respective predecessors, and I imagine that by now Overwatch had its 2.0 release a while ago. Which means, yes, it gets its own page.

Okay, I got confused since I also see stuff that ties in with the first game, besides, lore. There's the fact that skins and cosmetics can be transferred into OW2 and etc. Owners of the first game can get OW2 for free, and stuff like that (Plus, there's stuff that the fans have been begging Blizzard to do, like more lore, that got put in and/or addressed by OW2).

If something like a skin has to transfer that pretty much confirms that it's a new game. You usually don't have to transfer parts of a game to its own next revision.

Likewise the explicit mention that owners of Overwatch get Overwatch 2 for free. You would expect to get the 2.0 revision of a game for free.

It might be an patch or something, LT, given that you normally don't get a sequel for free.

It's too early to tell if it's a patch or a whole new game, hence why I made this thread crying for help. The only thing that's a bit different is there's PVE.
