Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

Hi, there~

I'm Nao; I'm not much, just a regular ambiguously human being who wanders this plane of existence, drifting between the world of dream, reality, and genmai tea.

I think I came into contact with Tropes for the first time back around 2012, in The Other Tropes Wiki; ever since that fateful encounter, I've become extremely addicted with the site. However, I didn't contribute anything, nor did I check the forums or anything. I just read everything I found interest in, having fun and getting a lot of references and inspirations from them. I like the site more than The Other Wiki because of its informality and casual attitude. If anything, the only part I don't really like with that troping site is its restriction on fan fiction submission, precisely, the character ages (I like to write Pokemon stuff, yeah.)

Later on, around 2014, I finally made an account on that site and helped editing stuff I like. I mostly helped in Yu-Gi-Oh! character sheet (The "card" characters, I'm not really interested in the Animanga other than ARC-V), made the Hidden Arsenal metaplot main page (and forgot about it until more than a year later); I also had a lot of fun doing the Monogatari character pages, and sorted it into its state now. Yeah, I'm really into the Characters part.

One regular day in 2016, I was just trying to find something interesting to read with my cellphone, when I think I'm gonna visit one of my favorite tropes, the Detached Sleeves. Guess what? It got removed some times ago. I went into a Heroic BSOD for a few days, although it sent me introspecting, "What are the actual values of Tropes? If they are kinda like "language", is it fair to remove words you don't like or feel "doesn't suit" the language?". That's also my first taste of the forums, and boy, what a firt impression... Despite all that, I continue my routine of checking out stuff and doing mostly minor edits, and was kinda back to normal after a few days. It was just the beginning, though.

Some times after the whole "detached sleeves" jab, I was just browsing the Administrivia to refine my rule knowledge (Yes, there's someone on Earth doing that) and just reading the wacky history events of that site, when I stumble upon some parts of the wiki so unfathomable, I fell off the deep end. I ponder; after all these years, is it still okay to stay in a place I don't feel "fun" anymore? As usual, I pour my feelings into another forum where I'm a regular member. That's where I met GethN7, who suggested me into joining this site. All The Tropes? I remembered having stumbled upon it a few times on the net, although I wasn't interested back then. Should I took refugee there? After some days giving it some thoughts, I finally decided to give it a go. And while I'd still give the other site a portion of my contribution, I'm planning to be much more active in here.

I'm still quite new and adapting to the new environment and editing styles, although I've been liking it so far!

* Ambiguous Gender: Has no defined gender. In the RPG Maker Central canon, they are a male, although it is still kinda vague, especially when they suddenly blank their gender. It doesn't help that they refer themselves as "paper" sometimes.

  • Author Appeal:
    • Has an affection to the Detached Sleeves trope.
    • They like plants a lot.
    • Green is their creative color, with sky blue and red are more or less on the same boat.
  • Canon Immigrant
  • Cloudcuckoolander: They're often regarded the weirdest child produced (although they like to say that they're "cultivated" instead) in the family, among other things. That is, when they're not busy living in their own world, while pretending to be a Marksman Witch with ambiguous gender and is also probably a paper.
  • Cult: At one point, they declare themselves a member (or leader?) of a cult named the Makian Witches; one of their cult's property is apparently a canon that list Detached Sleeves as a valid trope. Which says how happy they are, when they arrive in the wiki.
  • Cultural Rebel: They like the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy, although mostly the third movie. It almost cost them their life once.
  • Defector From Decadence: Shows traits of this sometimes.
  • Irony: They love tidying edits, but are prone to the mistakes made by their own Rapid-Fire Typing.
  • Numerological Motif: 4, 7, 8, 13, 15 and variations thereof often show up.
  • Rapid-Fire Typing: Usually when excited or under the influence. Thankfully, spell checkers exist.
  • The Reveal: In the RPG Maker Central Forum, it is revealed that their full name is Naoto Akashosu.
  • The Smart One: Deconstructed. This caused many of their classmates to flock on them (usually for answers and advice), which annoys them sometimes. This trait also caused them to find it hard to evade "bothersome" things like inter-school composition contests.
