The light novels were initially released in 2015. The adaptation was animated by Kyoto Animation, and was released in early 2018. An OVA that takes place between episodes three and four was released in July. Two feature length films accompany the series: the spin-off Violet Evergarden: Eternity and the Auto Memory Doll (2019) and the follow-up Violet Evergarden: The Movie (2020), its release delayed after the arson attack at the studio. |
