A WikiElf is a troper that prefers to work behind the scenes or tries to keep a low profile. In either case, they are a helpful type of WikiFauna who like to improve the wiki, often without needing or wanting recognition.
The types of WikiElves are:
- WikiElf – General variety, no specialty.
- CreatorElf – This WikiElf creates new indexes, pages and templates.
- PeopleElf – This WikiElf likes to work on pages about real people.
- DeleteElf – This WikiElf quietly adds deletion templates or deletes pages that are not wanted or needed by the wiki. DeleteElfs are very rare on All The Tropes.
- ExpandElf – This WikiElf works on articles that have been tagged with {{workstub}} or {{tropestub}} templates.
- ProtectElf – This WikiElf either quietly removes vandalism from pages or protects oft vandalized pages to ward off vandals.
