- Even Better Sequel: The film was able to improve everything from the first film including the plot and characterization.
- Harsher in Hindsight: Stryker warned Logan that someone will finish what he started. In Logan, Dr. Zander Rice finished Stryker's goal.
- Hype Backlash: After the release of just as great if not better X-Men films like X-Men: Days of Future Past and Logan, some feel that this film is overrated.
- Signature Scene: The lobby scene for showing Logan's berserker rage for the first time on film.
- Tough Act to Follow: For the film series before X-Men: First Class.
- Visual Effects of Awesome: The effects have noticeably improved from the first film.
- What Do You Mean It's Not for Kids?: Nightcrawler has been Mind Raped into causing an assassination attempt and Mystique pretends to have sex with a man at a bathroom as she injects a sedative into him.
