- Ensemble Darkhorse: Moloch. Even though he was killed off just an episode after he was introduced.
- Moe: Sakuma's cosplay outfit, Strawberry Warrior is meant to be this, and for the most part it is, but then you notice the oddly-placed cat legs in the hat...
- Tastes Like Diabetes: Strawberry Warrior. The non-otaku characters think so too.
- Tear Jerker: Moloch's death. Later completely destroyed by Beelzebub and Azazel's callous reaction later...
- And then there's Beelzebub's "death" scene too, complete with flashbacks and Azazel crying.
- Ugly Cute: Undine's human form, where she looks like a secretary.
