4 O'Clock Club is a British comedy-drama-music TV show which was created by Benjamin Harvey Bailey Smith, who is better known as Doc Brown and was originally produced for and originally first aired on the CBBC Channel. The TV show impressively has nine series, spanning across a total of eight years from 13 January 2012 to 21 April 2020 on the CBBC Channel. The TV show's main premise was initially about the conflict between an failed rapper, Nathan Carter, who comes to back to his old secondary school to teach, and his younger brother, Josh Carter, who annoyingly finds out that the secondary school, his older brother is joining to become a teacher there, is the same school he's attending too, however this premise of the TV show ends after the third episode of the second series.

From the third episode of the second series onwards, a new main premise of the 4 O'Clock Club is introduced which is about the conflict between Josh carter and Dexter Harris, who ends up taking the job of being a music teacher after Nathan's departure and funnily enough he also turns out to be a lodger at the Carter's flat much to the dismay and annoyance of Josh Carter. however this premise of the TV show lasted until the second episode of the third series, when two new members of the carter family are introduced, this being Bebe Johnson, who is a maternal aunt to Nathan and Josh Carter and her son, Nero Johnson, who is a younger maternal cousin to Nathan and Josh Carter, in which yet another new premise of the TV show is introduced, about the duality of conflicts shared between Josh Carter and his younger cousin Nero Johnson with Dexter Harris and Nero's mother having to negate and solve the issues shared between them two, this premise of the TV show lasted until the thirteenth and final episode of the third series.

From the fourth series onwards, the fourth new main premise premise of the 4 O'Clock Club is introduced thanks to Josh Carter's departure in the first episode of the fourth series, which now leads to Nero Johnson having more screen time and focus, in turn becoming Josh Carter's replacement, with his mother leaving to Kuwait over the summer to supposedly patch up issues with Nero's deadbeat distant father, Nero is taken care of by Josh and Nathan Carter's mother, who is also his maternal aunt with Dexter Harris becoming more of a parental figure to him, even though, this isn't explicitly said in the show but funnily enough Dexter Harris ends up legally being allowed to guardian Nero Johnson in the second episode of the fifth series onwards after his maternal aunt leaves to Scotland to help her eldest son and his wife with their troubles, as well as taking care of their now two kids. This main premise of the TV show became the longest one used in the TV show as it lasted until the third episode of the seventh series.

From the fourth episode of the seventh series, the fifth new main premise of the TV show is introduced, this main premise of the 4 O'clock Club was a huge change as every previous premise prior to this had featured members or a member of the Carter family, leaving a huge crack in the entire show. This new premise shares way more screen time between Nero Johnson's group of friends (Owen, Eli, Fleur, Eleesha, which all were introduced in the third episode of series 3 and Polly, who was introduced in the fourth episode of series 6), Mr Crispin Bell's (who had been introduced since the first episode of the second series) son, CJ Bell (Who was introduced in the seventh episode of series 6) and newcomer Jack Harper, who is the son of Maddie Harper, the new science teacher, both introduced in the fourth episode of series 7, Chester Garland (who was introduced in the fifth episode of series 6), being Owen's younger brother and Amber Baker (Who is Lizzie Baker's younger maternal half sister) and her two friends, Violet and Darnesh Palmer, all three was originally introduced back in the first episode of the fifth series. A new music teacher called Danny Boyle is also introduced in the fourth episode of the seventh series.
