Rin is the only (teenaged) member of the club who wears proper protective riding gear. She's also the only one who's been in a biking accident (several, actually, thanks to her Jerkass dad). This reflects a realistic trend, where bikers who have survived accidents tend to buy more or better protective gear than they previously used.
