Chia Black Dragon is the main character of a series of three dark fantasy books by Stephen Marley. They are set in China somewhere around 200-600 AD. The three books are:
- Spirit Mirror (1988).
- Mortal Mask (1991).
- Shadow Sisters (1993).
Tropes:
- Action Girl: Chia.
- Back From the Dead: Nyak in Mortal Mask.
- Black Magician Girl: Chia.
- The Chessmaster: Nyak.
- Lesbian Vampire: Chia herself. She doesn't get a lot of chances to practice though.
- Luke, I Am Your Father: Chia discovers that Nyak is her brother and Glak-i-kakthz is her father.
- Retroactive Precognition: Chia invents sunglasses and buttons.
- Take a Third Option: Chia tries to do this to dodge Nyak's Xanatos Gambits. She does not always succeed.
- Our Vampires Are Different.
- Unwitting Pawn: Chia in some of the books.
