Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • Hey, It's That Voice!:
  • What Could Have Been:
    • Initially announced in 2000 as a Unreal Tournament Spiritual Successor. Then in 2004 it morphed into into a sci-fi stealth-oriented third person shooter set in outer space, and then again in 2006 into what we have today. In addition, the 2004 version would had involved a transforming suit.
    • Early trailers show a very different game. Science Fiction, in the future, where mankind has colonized the solar system. The rapid expansion has been halted by the titular Dark Sector, the vast expanse of space beyond Pluto. The gameplay was also very different, with no glaive mechanic, instead relying on firearms and other gadgets, as well as a special suit that could switch between a sleek, agile stealth mode and a bulky, tough assault mode, which displayed powers similar to those acquired by the virus in the finished game.
    • The sci-fi stealth-oriented shooter concept later evolved into Warframe. Almost every detail from that trailer that wasn't used in the game ended up adapted to Warframe instead, from Hayden's armor design (an Excalibur-class Warframe) to the enemies (Grineer Marines — even referred to as such in the trailer — and the Jackal proxy) to the weapons used (Burston semi-automatic rifles and Aklato dual pistols) to the design of the dropship that evacuates Hayden from the ship and the alcove he climbs into to evacuate (the level ending points in Warframe).
